What motivates you to wake up and go to work?
What motivates me is knowing I am an important cog in this Specialty Pipe machine. Thanks to Steve Baroff for making us all feel that we are very important to this company and not just another number.
What do you do at our company? Explain.
I currently operate a bandsaw, which cuts up to 18-inch pipe to any length needed. I also operate different size forklifts when needed for orders for my saw, loading/unloading trucks or restocking the yard.
What has been your favorite project (or aspect of your job) so far?
After about 48 years, you have enough experience and knowledge to pass on to the new employees. To show them to right way, the fastest way and maybe most important, the safest way to do a specific job.
Apart from your work, what are some side projects or hobbies you have outside of the office?
My wife and I have been flipping condos for the past 10 years. It’s something I really enjoy doing. We are just about done with our current project and ready for another.
What’s something most people don’t know about you?
The only thing I can think of is I took piano lessons for about 12 years from about 6 years old. Playing in front of people at recitals surely was an experience
What is the best advice you’ve ever received? Did you take it?
To do the very best that you know how as if you were buying the product yourself. And I think I have done that for 48 years.
