The Synalloy Chemicals Division, made up of Manufacturers Chemicals LLC and CRI Tolling LLC, produces specialty chemicals for the carpet, chemical, paper, metals, mining, agricultural, fiber, paint, textile, automotive, petroleum, cosmetics, mattress, furniture, janitorial and other industries.

Under the name Blackman Uhler Industries, Synalloy starts as a textile dyes distributor.
Textile Manufacturing Expansion
The first textile dye manufacturing facility is built in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
Synalloy Becomes Public
Under the new name Synalloy Corporation, the company becomes a public company.
Chemicals Division Growth
Synalloy expands its chemicals division through several chemical companies including Manufacturers Chemicals.
Exiting Textile Dyes
Facing stiff competition from imported dyes, Synalloy exits the textile dye business with the closure of several underperforming operations.
After re-evaluating its business strategy, the company sells its Organic Pigments and Blackman Uhler specialty chemicals operations.
Expert Fiberglass & Liquid Steel
With the acquisition of Palmer of Texas, 25 years’ experience in manufacturing fiberglass liquid storage tanks, steel liquid storage tanks, and separation equipment is added.
Chemicals Division Growth
CRI Tolling LLC is formed after the acquisition of assets from Color Resources International located in Fountain Inn, South Carolina. Synalloy now offers high-quality chemical tolling services.
Metals Division Growth
Specialty Pipe & Tube is acquired from The Wolseley Group, adding large diameter, heavy wall seamless pipe & tubing distribution services out of Mineral Springs, Ohio, and Houston, Texas.
Stainless Steel Growth in North America
Synalloy’s Bristol Metals acquires the stainless steel pipe and tube operations of Marcegaglia USA, making it the largest domestic producer of welded stainless steel pipe and mechanical tube in North America.
Growth in Galvanized Pipe & Tube
Synalloy’s Bristol Metals acquires the galvanized pipe and tube operations of Marcegaglia USA, further expand the company’s pipe and tube operation in the galvanized and ornamental space.
Addition of Ornamental Stainless Tube
Synalloy acquires American Stainless Tubing (ASTI), adding high-end ornamental welded stainless steel tube capabilities.
